SisterBetty.orgRail Tripping
It appears the Grand Canyon Railroad purchased every piece of second-hand Amtrak equipment available on the open market.  Several sidings hold sleepers, coaches and baggage cars, their ownership indicated in spray paint.

Back at the station, passengers are invited to a pre-ride "Wild West" show.  We'll shortly learn that the Wild West Theme is important to the Grand Canyon Railroad - nearly as important as selling alcohol.  The marketing department provides a history of the railroad which says it was built "in the late 1800s to serve the Wild West..."

I choose to ignore the temptation to watch grown men play cowboys and indians in a one-dimensional plywood city for bleachers full of tourists.
