The view from the Observation Lounge is wonderful.  We can see all the way to the locomotive at the front of the train.  Just behind the steam locomotive is hidden a diesel locomotive which pushes when the going gets tough.

Shortly after taking this picture, the sales pitches begin.  First, the bartender arrives with the morning drink specials.  He drills these until at least half the car pays him to go away.  He'll return every half hour for the remainder of the trip - although not to our seats.

A female employee arrives to pump tours at the Grand Canyon.  She returns every few minutes for the next two hours to warn of dire consequences should you not pay for a tour now.  There is great controversy amongst our fellow passengers as to whether to take the Basic or Deluxe Tours.

Where is my cocktail?
