The train reaches the summit and we start to down the
other side of the Sierra Nevada. The conductor announces last call
for lunch and Rufus and I head to the dining car.
Amtrak makes a great dinner and a mediocre lunch. But, the diner
is a nice change from the lounge car and we joke with our waitperson as
we watch the mountains slide by. |
