SisterBetty.orgRail Tripping
This rail line was built in the late 1800's by the Southern Pacific Railroad.  Primarily built for hauling lumber, after the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, the line carried large amounts of limestone and cement from local quarries and kilns to help rebuild the city.

The construction date cut in the girders of the trestle notes the age of this bridge.
