Freshly refurbished, the interior of VIA Rail 6148 is equipped with comfortable, modern chairs and new upholstery. The RDC is designed for bidirectional operation and does not turn around at the end of the line.  For passenger comfort, each set of chairs is mounted on a swivel allowing the seats to face forward regardless of which way the train is traveling.

Lavatories are located at the end of the car.  The two cabinets to the left and right in the center of the car house piping connecting the radiators on the roof to the diesel engines below.
